Ethical banking practices

As a customer owned bank, the environment and our community is important to us and by banking with us you can be confident that your deposits are invested ethically. We don’t directly invest in or lend to businesses or initiatives involved in the coal/fossil fuel industries or environmentally detrimental projects.

We only allow our customers' money to be placed in deposits with:

• The Commonwealth Government or the government of an Australian State or Territory
• A financial institution guaranteed by the Commonwealth Government or the government of an Australian State or Territory
• Authorised Deposit Taking Institutions (i.e. banks) trading in Australia who are rated at least investment grade

We don't invest in:

• Unethical investments of any sort
• Supporting the coal/fossil fuel industries or environmentally detrimental projects
• Companies that undertake factory farming or live export.

We take pride in operating responsibly and channelling our deposits back to the environment, the community and our customers.
