If you are under the age of 18 yrs, you or your parent/guardian will need to download an application form.

Alternatively you can collect one from your local branch or call us on 1300 747 747 and have a copy posted out to you.

You will need to take along your original Membership application and birth certificate, or a certified copy.

You will need to have your identification certified, and mail a copy of the certification form, identification and original Membership application form. Please note: We are unable to accept faxed, scanned or emailed applications.

To open an account for a child or teen, in their name, you will require written consent from the parent or guardian, you will need to provide us with a letter signed and dated by the parent/guardian. You will also need to provide the birth certificate or a certified copy and certification form if applicable.

If you’re a parent/guardian and your child or teen is ready to become a signatory of their account, they need to have their identity verified. You/they will be required to provide supporting ID documents, including a birth certificate (or certified copy) and where available a current passport, signed student photo ID card or Learner driver’s license.

If you are 12 yrs or older you can request a Low limit Visa Debit Card (parental/guardian consent required), or if you are aged 16 yrs or older, you can apply for a Visa Debit Card. Online banking and telephone banking are not available on youth accounts unless they have become the signatory of their account. The account will however be visible in the signatories own Online Banking homepage.

Online banking is available for the account signatory, in most cases the legal guardian opening the account on behalf of a youth customer. The guardian can select to set up Online Banking at the time of application or after by completing our Savings and Products (Youth) application form.

Once a customer becomes 12 years of age they can apply to become a signatory of their account subject to guardian consent, and also apply for Online Banking access. Please note, customer between 12 to 16 years old only have 'View Only' Online Banking access subject to parent(s)/legal guardian consent.
